In will dated 8 Feb 1731 probate 6 May 1732 another daughter Anny? mentioned as eldest daughter. He left her £40, same also to daughter Catherine. If they chose to live with eldest brother John & keep house for him they were to receive 40 shillings yearly. He gave each son Samuel & William £40. To eldest son John he left land in Tregoss, Roche and all goods and chattels. Wife not mentioned therefore deceased? See inventory list of goods left. Obviously very wealthy!

About 1857 Samuel & Amy left Tregoss and he became innkeeper of the Victoria Inn at Roche, where Guy Francis was born in 1858. He was also recorded as being a miner when their children were baptised. About 1862/64 he left the Victoria Inn and it was taken over by his brother James Pearce Hooper. He spent his lifetime in the trade and was recorded at burial as being of the Rock Hotel, Roche 30 June 1909 aged 76. 1841 census aged 14 living at home.
